Keeping score
Type the team names on the board itself, then tap +1, +2 or +3, or the minus button to correct a slip. Add up to eight teams for quizzes, relays or sports days, give each a chalk colour, and swap sides at half time. Undo steps back through every change. The board is saved in this browser, so a refresh in the middle of a game loses nothing.
Keyboard and big screen
The number keys 1 to 8 add a point to that team, and with Shift they take one away; Space starts and pauses the clock, N moves to the next period, U undoes and F goes full screen. Shortcuts are paused while you are typing in a box.
Connect a laptop to a TV or projector and press F: the scores fill the screen, with the clock and period above them. Choose a countdown for timed halves or a stopwatch for the whole game, with an optional buzzer when a countdown ends.
Questions
Does the clock keep time if the screen sleeps?
The clock is measured from timestamps, so it shows the right time when you come back, but the buzzer cannot sound while the device is asleep. Keep the screen awake for timed games.
Can two devices share one board?
No. The board lives only on this device and nothing is sent anywhere, so there is no live link between screens.
Can a score go below zero?
No, scores stop at zero, so quiz penalties that would take a team below zero are not supported.
